What is a Wohnungsbesichtigung?
A Wohnungsbesichtigung is a viewing of a flat you want to rent. In big cities many people come to the same viewing, and the landlord chooses from the people who apply afterwards. Landlords usually ask for proof of income, a credit report (Schufa-Auskunft) and a letter from your last landlord saying you owe no rent (Mietschuldenfreiheitsbescheinigung).
