The situation
The heating in my flat has not worked properly for two weeks and there is damp in the bathroom. I am calling my landlord to have it repaired.

What is a Mängelanzeige?
A Mängelanzeige is a notice to your landlord (Vermieter) that something in the flat is broken or damaged, for example the heating, or mould on a wall. Tenants have to report these problems quickly. Send it in writing as well, with the date and photos, so you can show when the landlord was told.
