The situation
I just moved to Germany and have an appointment at the Bürgeramt to register my address (Anmeldung). I do not know what they will ask me, or whether I have every document they need, like the landlord confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung).

What is the Anmeldung?
The Anmeldung is the registration of your address at the local citizens' office (Bürgeramt). You have to do it within 2 weeks of moving into a flat in Germany. You get a registration certificate (Meldebescheinigung), which banks, employers and the immigration office often ask for.
